Exeter Marathon 04/17/2010 Saturday Exeter, RI [run/walk]

RACE LOCATION: Yawgoo Valley Ski and Water Park 160 Yawgoo Valley Rd Exeter, RI 02822
RACE DESCRIPTION: The course is fast, relatively flat, USATF-certified loop course. To run this race, you must meet the designated time standard consistent with your gender and age. You must submit a qualifying time run on a USATF certified course on or after April 17th, 2007. Proof, in the form of a link to race results, must be emailed to the race director before registering. Do not register for this race before getting approval from the race director. Chip times are accepted. Qualifying standards are as follows:
RACE INFO: Registration fee is $40. Registration closes on Wednesday, April 14th. DO NOT register without prior approval from the race director. Email the race director at director@exetermarathon.com. Please send the following information:
(1) Your name and date of birth.
(2) The name of the town and state in which you live.
(3) A Web link to the results of your qualifying race.
After verifying your qualification, the race director will e-mail you further registration information.
PRIZES: 40% of the registration fees will go toward the prize/raffle purse, and will be distributed as follows:
1st-5th male and female receive 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, and 1% respectively.
There will be four raffle prizes drawn at 4%, 3%, 2%, and 1%.
For example, if 100 people are registered, then the registration fees are 40 x 100 = $4000. The top male/female would each get 0.05 x $4000 = $200. Award winners are not eligible for raffle prizes. You must be present to win.
The awards and raffle ceremony will be at 1:00pm. Refreshments will be served.
ADDITIONAL INFO: There will be water and Gatorade available at miles 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 17, 20, and 23.
The proceeds of this race will be donated to local youth sports programs.
